Chainwire distributes approved press releases through a crypto-focused newswire. MarketAcross describes agency services including media outreach, content and communications advice. Wachsman offers strategic communications, executive advice and reputation-related services. Match the contract to the job: distributing an announcement, developing a story or managing an ongoing communications programme.
Decide what you are buying
A fund launch with a confirmed date needs a different brief from a company trying to explain an unfamiliar product. A business responding to a security incident needs another kind of support again. Asking all three providers for "crypto PR" leaves enough room for three proposals that cannot sensibly be compared.
This article covers three companies already included in FluidRWA's vendor research. It compares their public service descriptions, not a tested campaign, a complete market or a ranking. We reviewed the references on October 29, 2026. Agency scope and publisher availability still need confirmation in a written proposal.
| Decision | Chainwire | MarketAcross | Wachsman |
|---|---|---|---|
| Documented starting point | Crypto press-release distribution | Blockchain PR, content and communications advice | Strategic communications and stakeholder advice |
| Evidence to request | Accepted release, named distribution scope and live URLs | Agreed story angles, outreach responsibilities and results classification | Stakeholder plan, account responsibilities and response process |
| Useful buyer test | Trace one announcement from approval to published versions | Develop a defensible story from a product brief | Rehearse a difficult interview or sensitive announcement |
| Measurement caution | Estimated readership is not measured referral traffic | Outreach activity is not independent coverage | Reputation work needs specific objectives and a baseline |
| Comparable campaign results and common-scope quotation | Not verified | Not verified | Not verified |

The evidence and test rows are our procurement recommendations. Missing comparable evidence does not mean a provider lacks a capability.
Chainwire: distribution with a defined publication scope
Chainwire's FAQ describes editorial review, distribution packages and reporting on published releases. Publication remains subject to acceptance and applicable editorial requirements. Its reporting explanation also distinguishes third-party readership estimates from directly measured clicks or page views on publisher sites.
That makes the written package important. Ask which outlets are included, what can change, how corrections are handled and what happens if a release is rejected. Keep the approved copy and compare it with the final versions. A list of live URLs is useful delivery evidence; it does not tell you whether the right buyers read the announcement.
Use a tagged link to a relevant destination on your own site, then measure the visitors and enquiries it produces. Keep the landing page available after launch. A release pointing to an unrelated homepage makes attribution and the reader's next step harder.
MarketAcross: developing and promoting a story
MarketAcross's services page describes blockchain PR, interviews, opinion pieces, commentary, messaging and launch advice. This is a broader agency brief than distributing a finished release. The buyer needs to specify who finds the story, who writes it and who approves factual claims.
An appropriate trial is a short briefing exercise. Give the agency a real product update, its limitations and supporting evidence. Ask for the proposed angle, the intended audience and why an editor would cover it. Count the time your own team will need for interviews, technical explanations and approvals.
There is a relationship to disclose: Chainwire's October 2020 launch announcement says MarketAcross launched Chainwire. We have not established the current ownership structure from that historical announcement. If a proposal includes newswire distribution, ask which service supplies it, whether there is a related-party arrangement and how that cost appears in the quote.
Wachsman: communications across several audiences
Wachsman's expertise page describes strategic communications alongside executive advice, investor relations, crisis and issues work, and transaction-related communications. Those are relevant when the assignment involves investors, employees, partners or a leadership team as well as journalists.
The procurement question is how those services become a working account. Name the people responsible for routine work and urgent issues. Ask about availability outside normal hours, approval authority, escalation and access to specialist advice. Communications support should not be treated as a substitute for legal counsel or as a promise of regulatory approval.
A useful evaluation is a timed rehearsal: an inaccurate story appears, an executive needs to respond, and one important fact is still uncertain. Ask the proposed team to explain who gathers evidence, who approves a response and how they avoid repeating an unverified allegation.
Put deliverables and outcomes in separate columns
A contract can commit to drafts, briefings, outreach, distribution and reporting. It cannot force an independent journalist to like the story or a buyer to request a proposal. Mixing those categories creates disputes at the end of the month.
For each deliverable, record its owner, deadline, approval process and acceptance evidence. For outcomes, agree what the team will measure and what would count as useful progress. For a B2B infrastructure company, ten relevant procurement visits may matter more than a large estimated audience with no demonstrable connection to the product.
Label paid distribution, sponsored editorial and independently commissioned reporting separately. Also ask whether the same story is counted once or counted again for every syndicated copy. A monthly report should make those differences easy to see.
A measurement plan your sales team can use
Start with the destination: a useful product explanation, research page or buyer guide with a clear enquiry route. Record referral visits, engaged visits and accepted enquiries separately. Then add a simple sales review of whether each enquiry was relevant. A traffic spike without that final check is an incomplete result.
Do not use internal tracking links between your own pages as new acquisition campaigns. Keep campaign tags on the incoming distribution link and use events for on-site actions. That preserves the original source when a reader moves from an article to your vendor directory or contact page.
Avoid treating a new backlink as a guaranteed ranking improvement. Publishers control their link treatment, and search engines make their own decisions. An editorial pitch should stand on the value of its information rather than a request for a particular link attribute.
Send this brief before asking for a quote
Provide the announcement date, target audience, evidence supporting the announcement and people available for interview. List countries and languages, sensitive claims requiring approval, and the destination readers should visit. Ask each provider to identify exclusions, third-party expenses, cancellation terms and ownership of drafts and account data.
Finally, request an example report with client details removed. You should be able to tell what was purchased, what was independently earned and what happened after someone clicked. Compare other relevant providers in the growth and marketing directory, rather than assuming these three exhaust the market.
FAQ
Is press-release distribution the same as earned media?
No. Distribution publishes or syndicates approved company material under the service's terms. Earned editorial coverage involves an outlet independently deciding to report a story. Ask the supplier to label each result.
Are Chainwire and MarketAcross unrelated alternatives?
Chainwire's October 2020 launch announcement identifies MarketAcross as launching the service. That establishes related origins, not a verified statement of their current legal ownership. Ask about any present commercial relationship when comparing proposals.
Will a PR placement guarantee rankings or AI citations?
No. Publication, indexing, ranking, referral traffic and AI citation are different outcomes. Neither a publisher list nor a distribution receipt proves improved rankings or qualified enquiries.
Which provider is cheapest?
The reviewed evidence does not establish comparable prices for one shared scope. Compare an itemized distribution package with agency fees, third-party placement costs and the work included.
